There's a national organization for veteran real estate professionals called VAREP — the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals. It's an official Veterans Service Organization, the same designation as the American Legion and VFW. Wisconsin doesn't have a chapter yet.
If you're a military veteran in real estate — or thinking about becoming one — this is an invitation to help build something, not join something already finished. VAREP requires a founding board of 8 (5 must be veterans) to charter a new chapter — that's the immediate goal. From there, the benchmark for a healthy chapter is 20-25 members within the first year.
Founding members shape what this actually becomes too: the events, the format, whether it's a Tuesday coffee or a monthly range day or nothing scheduled at all.
